We, humans, love learning about ourselves and where we come from. It provides us a sense of connection to the past while living within enormous concrete cities in a digitalized modern society.

Our excitement escalates with new archeology discoveries of ancient civilizations and what they mean about us. Some of us are endlessly curious about humanity’s past, and for those who are, there’s one question we‘ve probably all wondered at some point. Who was the first person to speak?

Mysteries of Language

I don’t need to tell you how vital language is to us. Without it, you wouldn’t be reading these words, and much of our culture, knowledge, and history would be eradicated. It’s hard to imagine existing without it. I mean, plenty of animals communicate without using words, and body language does go a long way, but we’re the only animal on the planet with languages like ours. It’s only natural to wonder about its origin.
