It's ridiculous to me that this fight is going on in public schools. (Though I'm not surprised)

Public schools should teach the truth, and to help kids grow into contributing (and thinking) members of society. Some parents who don't want to acknowledge things like facts or science shouldn't get the power to change the curriculum for an entire school which affects more than just their own child.

Private schools, but especially home schooling, are for parents who want to control every aspect of what their child learns. Leave it out of public schools.
